Warren Buffett is stepping down as Berkshire Hathaway’s chairman, ending his leadership of the company since 1965, according to Berkshire Hathaway.

Buffett will become chairman emeritus, while his son Howard Buffett takes over. During his tenure, Berkshire delivered a 19.7% annual compounded return, nearly twice the S&P 500.
