Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine sharply condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from her hospital bed Saturday, calling his characterization of her violent assault by Israeli settlers as "alleged" a deeply insulting falsehood.

Levine, who suffered broken bones and required surgery after being beaten while covering an olive harvest in the West Bank, expressed shock at the prime minister’s dismissal given the extensive video evidence and eyewitness accounts available.

Speaking from Beilinson Medical Center, the veteran photographer insisted that Netanyahu's comments downplay targeted violence against press members, demanding full accountability as international pressure mounts on Israeli authorities.
