President Donald Trump has brushed off growing industry anxieties regarding artificial intelligence safety, insisting he is unconcerned about technology "going rogue".
Speaking ahead of a high-stakes White House meeting with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Trump asserted that his administration would step in to "straighten it out if and when a problem occurs."
The president has repeatedly rejected calls from tech leaders to slow the breakneck pace of AI development, arguing that heavy regulations or pacing safeguards would only cede America's technological dominance to global competitors like China.
