The chip will power a new generation of Windows-based devices from manufacturers including Lenovo, HP, Dell, Microsoft Surface, Asus and MSI, with additional models from Acer and Gigabyte expected later.
The announcement comes as Nvidia seeks to expand beyond data centers, a market that has helped make it one of the world's most valuable companies. The report said the move also increases competition with established PC players such as Apple and Intel.
Separately, the United States tightened export restrictions on advanced AI chips destined for Chinese companies and their overseas subsidiaries, reflecting ongoing efforts to limit China's access to cutting-edge AI technology.
