The White House has blocked Ricky Buria, a Pentagon aide nicknamed “Rasputin Ricky,” from becoming Chief of Staff to Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, following revelations about his partisan background and internal power plays.
An exposé by The National Pulse revealed Buria’s 2023 donation to Democrat Mike O’Brien and his past disparaging remarks about President Trump and Vice President Vance. Critics say Buria, a former aide to Biden’s Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, undermined MAGA-aligned officials and pushed a liberal agenda within the Pentagon.
Sources claim Buria helped oust three aides and ignored security protocols, including bringing personal devices into secure zones. His influence over Hegseth drew comparisons to Rasputin, sparking internal concern.
After reviewing Buria’s record, the White House rejected his elevation to chief of staff. It remains uncertain whether Buria will stay in his current role.
