The Justice Department has charged four men — two Chinese nationals and two Americans — for allegedly conspiring to illegally export advanced Nvidia AI chips to China, CBS News reported.
Prosecutors say the group funneled nearly 400 Nvidia A100 GPUs through Malaysia and Thailand between October 2024 and January 2025 by falsifying documents, creating fake contracts, and misleading U.S. authorities. Two additional shipments were stopped by law enforcement.
