President Donald Trump said he will direct the Pentagon and other federal agencies to begin releasing government records related to extraterrestrial life and unidentified flying objects.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said the move responds to strong public interest in unidentified aerial phenomena, also known as UAPs. He said agencies would identify and release relevant files, though no timeline or details were provided.

The Pentagon has previously stated it has found no evidence of alien life. Its All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office reported in 2024 that many sightings were explained as balloons, drones, weather events, or debris, though some cases remain unresolved.
Trump’s comments followed remarks by former President Barack Obama, which he later clarified as theoretical rather than based on evidence.
