President Donald Trump’s oil and gas investments have increased in value as the Iran war drives up energy prices, according to a report by Democrats on the Congressional Joint Economic Committee obtained by CBS News.
The report estimates Trump’s energy stock holdings are now worth between $22.5 million and $81.6 million, up from a range of $12.6 million to $46 million at the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, average US gasoline prices have climbed from $2.87 a gallon before the conflict to $4.29, while diesel reached $6.28. Democrats estimate households have spent an additional $856 on gasoline since the war began.
The White House says independent financial institutions manage Trump’s portfolio without his direction. Democrats argue the investments raise potential conflict-of-interest concerns.
