One of the biggest misnomers in business is referring to the Big Three car manufacturers — General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler (now owned by Stellantis) — as just that. Over the years, we began to refer to them as producers of automobiles, a broader category that encompasses cars, trucks, vans, and other vehicles, because the Big Three no longer make cars.
