Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s diplomatic envoy, has arrived in Russia on Friday and is expected to meet President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin confirmed. This marks Witkoff’s third meeting with Putin as part of Trump’s efforts to broker a ceasefire in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
Witkoff landed in Saint Petersburg and first met with Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev. The Kremlin confirmed the upcoming meeting with Putin will focus on ceasefire negotiations and the potential for a future meeting between Trump and Putin.
