Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to demand that Ukraine permanently cede occupied territory in the eastern Donbas region, a condition Kyiv has firmly rejected.
President Donald Trump has pressed both sides to reach a deal and suggested Ukraine may need to make territorial concessions, a stance opposed by Ukraine and U.S. allies. Ukrainian officials said limited progress was made, with another prisoner swap possibly the only tangible outcome.
Zelenskyy called for stronger European involvement and insisted that security guarantees must come before any territorial discussions.
