21 Charts Review Biden's America In 2021- Part 2

The second and final installment of The Year That Was In Numbers series

11.  Direction Of The Country

Democrats are the most optimistic about the country's future with President Biden in the driver's seat.

The biggest swings in optimism occurred between September 2020 and January 2021.  While Democrats' and Republicans' perspectives have shifted dramatically, President Biden's election has had little impact on independents.

The December reading of 36.5 for independents reflects their dissatisfaction with the country's direction, which could have implications for incumbents in the November 2022 midterm elections.

The TIPP index ranges from 0 to 100.  An index of 50 or above is positive, below 50 is negative, and 50 is neutral.
