Apple has unveiled updated Mac Mini and Mac Studio computers as the company expands its push into artificial intelligence and local AI development.
According to the company, the new Mac Mini can be configured with M6 and M5 Pro chips. The M6 is Apple’s first computer processor built using a 2-nanometer manufacturing process.
Apple’s Mac Studio will offer M5 Max and M5 Ultra configurations. The company said the M5 Ultra can support extremely large AI models, while multiple Mac Studios can be connected to combine computing resources for trillion-parameter models.
Mac Studio pricing starts at $2,499 for the M5 Max and $5,499 for the M5 Ultra. The new computers are available for presale and are scheduled to ship September 22, according to Apple.
