Apple has committed up to $100 million to Pennsylvania-based Perryman Company over three years to secure titanium supplies for the iPhone Duo, expanding its US manufacturing partnerships.

The investment comes as strong preorder demand has strained supplies, with delivery estimates for some iPhone Duo models reportedly reaching around 14 weeks.

Apple said nearly 100 components used in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro are manufactured by American companies across more than a dozen states. The company has also expanded its partnership with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics to produce advanced films for the iPhone 18 Pro camera system.

Apple operating chief Sabih Khan welcomed the expanded collaboration with domestic advanced-materials suppliers.

Under CEO John Ternus, who took over on September 1, Apple is also requiring all direct suppliers to power their manufacturing operations with renewable energy by the end of the decade. The moves reflect the company’s broader push to strengthen its US supply chain and expand domestic manufacturing capacity.
