Automotive Demand Index Bullish

TechnoMetrica’s Auto Demand Index continues to be strong. As the COVID situation improves, it is reasonable to expect a significant increase in demand. City dwellers are driving the need for compact and smaller vehicles, which is a COVID phenomenon.

The TechnoMetrica Auto Demand Index (ADI) increased by 6-points, or 3.5 percent, to 178 in March, following a slight decline in February.  Since the onset of COVID, the average ADI has been 165, compared to 178 this month.

What is ADI?

TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence developed the Auto Demand Index, or ADI, as a way to measure the intent of consumers to buy or lease a new vehicle within the next six months.
