Autopen Scandal? Trump Administration Launches Investigation

Joe and Jill Biden

The Trump White House Counsel's Office has launched an internal investigation into former President Joe Biden’s alleged misuse of the presidential autopen to sign executive orders and pardons — possibly without his direct knowledge.

Newsmax confirmed the probe with multiple sources. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the administration is “committed to finding the answers” to what she called “one of the most disturbing scandals in modern history.”

Critics claim unelected staffers used the autopen to advance major policy decisions during Biden’s presidency, bypassing the president’s input. President Trump, addressing the matter during a state visit, called it “the scandal they should be talking about,” suggesting key decisions were made by anonymous aides.

The investigation will include a review of thousands of documents submitted to the National Archives. Biden, in an earlier interview with The New York Times, insisted, “I consciously made all those decisions.”
