Boeing has started operations at a fourth 737 MAX assembly line at its Everett, Washington, manufacturing facility as the company works to increase aircraft production.
According to the report, the new production line, known as the North Line, uses factory space made available after Boeing consolidated 787 Dreamliner manufacturing in South Carolina.
The company is raising monthly 737 production from 42 to 47 aircraft following consultations with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg previously said the Everett line would mirror the existing 737 assembly lines in Renton.
According to the report, the aerospace manufacturer ultimately aims to produce 52 aircraft per month by early 2027 and is studying the feasibility of increasing output to 70 jets monthly to better compete with Airbus' A320neo family.
