Boston Scientific warned Tuesday that a recent cyberattack will have a “material impact” on its 2026 financial results, making it unlikely to meet its third-quarter and full-year earnings guidance.
The medical device company disclosed the impact in an SEC filing, about two weeks after detecting unauthorized network activity on August 25. The incident disrupted computer systems, manufacturing operations and order shipments across the company’s global network.
Shares fell 4.5% in premarket trading following the announcement. Boston Scientific said it plans to provide an updated financial outlook on October 28.
The company continues to investigate the incident and said it has found no evidence of ongoing unauthorized access. It also does not currently expect the cyberattack to materially affect its long-term financial condition.
