Investor Warren Buffett said he has not spoken to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates since revelations linked to the Jeffrey Epstein files became public.
In an interview with CNBC, Buffett said he chose to distance himself to avoid being drawn into legal proceedings or potential testimony.
Buffett acknowledged his long friendship with Gates but said it was prudent to limit contact until the situation is clarified. He added that he did not want to be placed under oath or become involved in any investigation, according to the report.

Commenting on Epstein, Buffett described him as a highly manipulative figure who exploited influential individuals. The report said Epstein’s connections with prominent figures, including Gates, have drawn increased scrutiny in recent months.
Buffett also noted that he had never met Epstein and expressed relief that he was not introduced to him. He said the fallout from the disclosures continues to affect high-profile relationships.
