President Donald Trump on Tuesday called for the immediate cancellation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial, praising him as a “warrior” who helped defeat Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said Netanyahu’s prosecution over bribery and fraud allegations was “unthinkable,” especially after what he described as Israel’s “Greatest Moment” — the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
Thank you @realDonaldTrump. I was deeply moved by your heartfelt support for me and your incredible support for Israel and the Jewish people.

I look forward to continue working with you to defeat our common enemies, liberate our hostages and quickly expand the circle of peace. https://t.co/zRd6LYfMbY pic.twitter.com/YCGN1dIu0d
“Bibi and I just went through hell together,” Trump wrote. “Bibi Netanyahu was a warrior, like perhaps no other warrior in the history of Israel.”
Netanyahu, who returns to court Monday, responded by thanking Trump for his “heartfelt support” and reaffirmed their shared commitment to defeating “our common enemies.”
Netanyahu’s trial, which began in 2020, centers on allegations he accepted gifts and favorable media coverage in exchange for political favors — charges he denies and claims are politically motivated.
