Deadliest Ukrainian Attack On Russia In Two Years Kills 13

A Ukrainian drone strike killed at least 13 people and injured 39 others in Nizhnekamsk, Russia's Tatarstan region, local authorities said Monday. It was reportedly the deadliest Ukrainian attack inside Russia in more than two years.

According to CNN, Ukraine has increasingly used long-range drones to strike Russian oil facilities, energy infrastructure, warehouses and other strategic targets far from the battlefield. The latest attack comes as both countries intensify aerial strikes.

A child was among those killed, according to Russia's Investigative Committee. Four additional deaths were reported in the border region of Belgorod.

The report noted that Russian attacks on Ukraine remain substantially more frequent, with Kyiv continuing to face shortages of ballistic missile interceptors.
