President Donald Trump won rare bipartisan praise after Hamas released the last 20 living hostages in Gaza, marking a major breakthrough in the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) hailed the moment as “an immense and overwhelming sigh of relief,” crediting Trump, his administration, and international partners for securing the release.
Former President Bill Clinton also applauded Trump’s persistence, saying he and regional actors like Qatar “deserve great credit” for keeping talks alive.

During a visit to Israel’s Knesset, Trump met with freed hostages’ families and later told reporters, “I’ve always liked Bill Clinton… he’s telling the truth.”
Hillary Clinton echoed the praise in a CBS interview, commending Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan for providing “a path forward for the day after.”
Even Vice President Kamala Harris, a former political rival, lauded the administration’s diplomacy on MSNBC, highlighting rare unity in Washington over the Middle East.
