Sean “Diddy” Combs has been moved out of solitary confinement and returned to open housing at a federal prison in New Jersey following a physical altercation with another inmate.

According to the report, officials at FCI Fort Dix isolated Combs after a fight in late July and have now ended the disciplinary confinement.

The report said the altercation reportedly began after another prisoner made a disparaging remark toward Combs. Correctional staff responded by separating him from the general prison population while authorities assessed the incident.

Combs is serving a 50-month federal sentence, with updated Federal Bureau of Prisons records listing his projected release date as February 20, 2028.

The report said officials have not disclosed whether additional disciplinary measures will be imposed following the fight.

According to the report, Combs’ 19-year-old daughter Jessie has said that her father remains focused on personal improvement during his incarceration.

His return to open housing marks the latest development in his prison sentence as officials continue to monitor his conduct at the facility.
