Federal prison records indicate that music mogul Sean Combs is now expected to be released from custody on February 23, 2028, following another adjustment to his projected release date.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on charges related to transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has been incarcerated at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix since late 2025 and remains housed at the low-security federal facility.

The revised release date appears to reflect the application of federal sentence-reduction credits.

💡
Under Bureau of Prisons policies, inmates may qualify for earlier release through good conduct time and participation in approved rehabilitation and educational programs.

Reports indicate Combs has been participating in prison programming that can contribute toward earning such credits.

Despite the updated release timeline, Combs' legal battle is far from over. His attorneys continue to challenge the conviction through the federal appeals process, arguing that the sentence was unjustified and seeking to overturn the verdict. The appeal remains pending before a federal appellate court.

In addition to the criminal case, Combs continues to face numerous civil lawsuits alleging misconduct.

Those cases remain separate from his criminal conviction and are expected to continue moving through the courts in the coming years.

💡
While speculation has occasionally surfaced regarding a possible presidential pardon, there has been no indication that such action is currently under consideration.

The latest adjustment highlights how federal sentencing calculations can change over time as inmates accumulate credits through compliance with prison rules and participation in rehabilitation programs.
