Election Day in the US midterm elections has brought ballot scanning problems, strong early voter participation and concerns over delayed results, according to CBS News.
Meanwhile, Michigan reported that 32.9% of active registered voters had cast ballots by 7 a.m. Tuesday, including more than 750,000 early in-person voters. Key contests include the governor's race and an open Senate seat.
CBS News also reported that election experts expect some closely contested races to remain undecided on election night. David Becker of the Center for Election Innovation & Research cautioned that delayed results are not evidence of electoral fraud, particularly when margins are narrow.
