Elon Musk has settled two remaining fraud lawsuits over his $1 million giveaways to registered voters during the 2024 US presidential election, according to court filings reported by CNN.
The settlements end a legal dispute that began after Musk’s political group, America PAC, launched the sweepstakes in battleground states.
The plaintiffs alleged that participants were misled into believing winners would be selected randomly in exchange for providing personal information.
The settlement terms have not been disclosed. The Justice Department had warned Musk that the giveaways could violate federal laws against vote-buying.
Separately, Wisconsin election officials concluded that similar giveaways likely breached state law in a 2025 judicial race, but prosecutors declined to pursue charges, citing insufficient evidence for a bribery conviction.
Musk has donated at least $276 million to Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 midterms.
