Elon Musk's X Reaches $128 Million Deal With Fired Twitter Executives Over Unpaid Severance

Elon Musk’s X Corp. has reached a settlement with four former Twitter executives, including ex-CEO Parag Agrawal, who claimed they were owed $128 million in severance pay after Musk’s 2022 takeover.

The settlement terms were not disclosed, but a federal judge in San Francisco postponed case deadlines to allow finalization.

The plaintiffs — Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, legal chief Vijaya Gadde, and general counsel Sean Edgett — alleged Musk falsely accused them of misconduct to justify withholding their severance and stock options. Musk and X denied wrongdoing, citing poor performance.

The case follows another lawsuit X settled in August over $500 million in severance claims from laid-off employees.

Musk, who bought Twitter for $44 billion, cut over half the staff and rebranded the platform as X.
