Colin Gray has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the September 2024 Apalachee High School shooting that killed two students and two teachers.
The sentencing follows his conviction on 29 charges, including second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.
According to prosecutors, Gray purchased the AR-style rifle used in the attack as a gift for his son despite earlier visits from law enforcement investigating online mass shooting threats linked to the teenager.
Prosecutors argued he failed to act on clear warning signs before the shooting.
His sentencing comes two days after his son, Colt Gray, was sentenced to life in prison without parole after pleading guilty to all charges.
Legal observers say the case could influence future prosecutions involving parental responsibility for youth gun violence.
