Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested Friday by the FBI for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest at the courthouse. The arrest follows an incident on April 18, when federal agents attempted to detain Eduardo Flores Ruiz — wanted on immigration violations — during a scheduled court appearance before Dugan.
In a post on X, FBI Director Kash Patel alleged that Judge Dugan “intentionally misdirected” agents, allowing Flores Ruiz to flee. Flores Ruiz, who was in court for a domestic abuse case, was later chased down and arrested nearby.

“This created increased danger to the public,” Patel wrote. The Department of Justice has declined to comment. According to court documents, ICE agents were aware of Flores Ruiz's location but lost him after he fled. Dugan was taken into custody at the courthouse. Further details remain under investigation.
