Frontier Airlines has announced a partnership with SpaceX to introduce Starlink satellite internet across its fleet, ending its status as one of the few major U.S. airlines without in-flight Wi-Fi.
According to the report, the first Starlink-equipped aircraft is expected to enter service in early 2027.
The report said the rollout is part of a broader effort involving five airlines that plan to install Starlink technology on more than 1,000 aircraft.
According to the report, the agreement further strengthens Starlink's position in the growing market for aviation internet services.
The report noted that SpaceX and Amazon are competing to secure airline customers as carriers increasingly invest in high-speed satellite connectivity for onboard operations and passenger services.
