Google's Gemini app has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users, marking a major milestone in the company's push to compete with leading artificial intelligence platforms.
According to the report, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said Gemini is the 14th Google product to reach the billion-user mark.
The report said Gemini had more than 950 million monthly users when Google released its second-quarter 2026 earnings results, with daily usage tripling over the previous year.
Voice interaction has also emerged as a significant part of the service, with 63 percent of users reportedly using Gemini's voice feature.
Google is continuing to integrate Gemini across Android, Search and Google Workspace, with the company expected to introduce additional AI-powered features.
The expansion highlights Google's strategy of using its large consumer ecosystem to accelerate adoption of its AI services.
