House Speaker Mike Johnson has unveiled a $95 billion emergency funding proposal to bolster defense spending, support the Pentagon's operations, including the Iran conflict, and advance President Donald Trump's election reform agenda, reported by CNN.

According to the report, the package allocates up to $73 billion for defense and national security, $12 billion in agricultural assistance for farmers affected by the ongoing trade war, and $10 billion in grants to states to help implement Trump's SAVE America Act.

The proposal, however, does not include spending cuts or anti-fraud measures that many conservative Republicans had previously demanded to offset the cost.

Instead, much of the funding would be added to the federal deficit, drawing criticism from fiscal conservatives. Rep. Warren Davidson warned that growing debt threatens national strength.

CNN reported that Johnson developed the plan with White House officials after weeks of discussions, including meetings at Camp David. The measure still faces uncertain prospects in both the House and Senate.
