Former Vice President Kamala Harris is set to criticize former President Joe Biden's belief that Republicans would eventually cooperate after President Donald Trump's presidency, according to excerpts of a speech shared with CNN.
Speaking at the Louisiana Democratic Party's annual gala, Harris will argue that Democrats cannot wait for Republicans to have an "epiphany" and instead must adopt a tougher political strategy.
Harris will also outline broad policy priorities, including lowering housing and healthcare costs, addressing tax inequality, expanding workforce training and establishing safeguards for artificial intelligence. She will also urge government to rebuild public trust through faster and more transparent governance.
CNN reported that Harris is not expected to announce whether she will seek the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028.
