A House committee released 23,000 documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein on Wednesday. The trove includes years of emails with wealthy associates, reporters, and political figures.

Republicans said they published the full cache after Democrats released only three emails mentioning President Donald Trump. GOP lawmakers accused Democrats of trying to distort the record to hurt the president.

Epstein, who died in jail in 2019, maintained ties with powerful figures long after his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

Several emails feature exchanges about Trump, including a 2019 message where Epstein claimed Trump “knew about the girls,” though the context is unclear.

Virginia Giuffre, a central accuser in Epstein’s network who died earlier this year, had said Trump never abused her and likely did not know about Epstein’s misconduct, according to the Associated Press.

The documents also include claims involving former Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, and interactions between Epstein and reporters seeking insight or access.
