Europe could face a severe jet fuel shortage within six weeks due to disruptions caused by the Iran war, the International Energy Agency warned, as reported by the Associated Press.
IEA chief Fatih Birol said the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has triggered what could become the most serious energy crisis in decades. He warned that supply shortages are already intensifying and will worsen in the coming weeks.

According to Birol, the crisis is expected to drive up gasoline, gas and electricity prices globally, with some regions hit harder than others. Analysts told CNBC that airline operations now depend heavily on how much oil can still move through disrupted routes.
The report said Middle East supply flows have slowed significantly, forcing Europe to seek alternative sources.
Experts warned that prolonged disruption could fuel inflation, slow economic growth and even lead to energy rationing in some countries if the crisis deepens.
