President Donald Trump was secretly moved from Air Force One to another US government aircraft in Turkey last month after US intelligence detected a credible threat to the presidential plane, according to CBS News.

The operation took place shortly before Trump was scheduled to leave Ankara following the NATO summit. A catering truck reportedly helped conceal the president’s transfer to an Air Force C-32A.

Trump had initially announced that he would leave Turkey aboard an older Air Force One, while the newer Qatar-donated presidential aircraft remained elsewhere. The Washington Post first reported the secret plane switch.

Trump and some members of his staff then flew separately from reporters, who remained aboard Air Force One. The president later transferred to the newer aircraft at a UK refueling stop.

According to the report, administration officials are concerned that the leak of classified security procedures could complicate future presidential protection operations.
