Iran signaled readiness to compromise in nuclear talks with the United States but declared uranium enrichment non-negotiable, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei told CNN on Monday.
While emphasizing Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy, Baghaei said there are “many ways” to reach a deal, if the U.S. isn’t trying to strip Iran of that right.

President Donald Trump voiced optimism after the fifth round of negotiations in Rome last week, calling them “very good talks.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi echoed cautious hope, calling the meetings “professional” but said key issues remain unresolved.
Despite public skepticism from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Baghaei maintained that a “win-win” deal is possible.
As talks continue, U.S. intelligence suggests Israel is preparing to strike Iranian nuclear sites. Baghaei warned that Iran would stand united against threats, saying, “Iranians will certainly defend our national security.”
