Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has dismissed speculation that he plans to resign, saying he would announce such a decision publicly if he ever chose to step down.

Speaking in a televised address marking the second year of his administration, Pezeshkian said he would remain in office and accused critics of trying to create divisions within Iran's leadership.
According to remarks circulated by Iranian media outlets, he rejected claims that his government and the country's Supreme Leader were at odds.
Pezeshkian also stressed that his administration remains fully coordinated with Iran's armed forces, saying national hardships are being endured for Iran's interests.
