Iran Weighs Retaliation For United States Attack

Iran will be mulling over options on how to respond to the U.S. attack, from striking U.S. bases in the region, to blocking a key global shipping waterway – but all carry the risk of further retaliatory aggression.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says his country has a variety of options available to it when deciding how to respond to the U.S. attack on its nuclear facilities.

The country’s hardline leadership will be mulling over its next move, from attacking U.S. bases in the region, to blocking a key global shipping waterway – but all will carry the risk of further strikes on Iran.

Trump has vowed to meet any retaliation with force “far greater” than the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
