Israel’s far-right parties are intensifying their rhetoric as elections approach, with competing groups seeking to capture a limited pool of right-wing voters, according to CNN.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is campaigning on expanding Israeli settlements and promoting a plan to increase Jewish communities in areas with significant Arab populations.
Retired general Ofer Winter has also entered the race, rejecting the possibility of a Palestinian state and advocating Palestinian emigration from Gaza.
Other far-right figures, including Avi Maoz and Moshe Feiglin, are promoting similarly hard-line positions.
The report said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces an electoral dilemma. Several smaller right-wing parties may fail to clear Israel’s 3.25% electoral threshold, potentially costing the broader bloc crucial votes. Netanyahu has urged major far-right parties to unite, but they continue campaigning separately.
