Jensen Huang said President Donald Trump personally asked him to join the U.S. delegation attending the high-profile summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
Huang’s participation drew attention after his name was initially missing from a White House list of executives attending the trip. According to CNBC, Trump later contacted the Nvidia chief directly and invited him to board Air Force One during a stop in Alaska.

Speaking to reporters in Beijing, Huang described the summit as “one of the most important” diplomatic meetings in modern history. He said the strong relationship between Trump and Xi could help improve U.S.-China cooperation.
Trade remains the central focus of the summit. Trump said he plans to urge Xi to open Chinese markets further for American companies.
The business delegation also includes executives from Tesla, Apple, BlackRock and Boeing, reflecting growing corporate interest in stabilizing U.S.-China economic ties.
