John Ratcliffe Travels To Moscow For Talks With Russian Officials

CIA Director John Ratcliffe made an unannounced trip to Moscow to meet Russian officials as efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war remain stalled.

According to CNN, a U.S. official familiar with Ratcliffe’s travel confirmed the visit but declined to disclose the purpose or details of the meetings. The CIA did not comment.

The report said a U.S. Air Force C-17 military transport aircraft arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport early Tuesday. Flight tracking data indicated the aircraft had departed from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

The visit could signal renewed diplomatic or intelligence engagement with Moscow.
