John Ternus officially takes over as Apple’s CEO on September 1, 2026, succeeding Tim Cook, who will remain with the company as executive chairman.

Cook’s 15-year tenure saw Apple’s market value rise from roughly $350 billion to more than $4 trillion, while annual revenue reached $416 billion in fiscal 2025.
