Defense attorney Kevin Reddington has argued that there is no evidence proving Lindsay Clancy killed her three children, a position that differs from arguments previously presented by the defense during her high-profile murder trial.
The trial ended in a mistrial earlier this month after a 12-member jury spent seven days deliberating without reaching a unanimous verdict. Reddington has since criticized the original investigation and questioned the reliability of statements attributed to Clancy while she was hospitalized.
Judge William Sullivan has scheduled a November 2 hearing at Plymouth County Superior Court to consider the defense motion and address the next steps in the case.
Clancy was charged in 2023 in connection with the deaths of her three children in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The case has drawn extensive public attention and debate over the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
