Mark Carney won the Liberal leadership race to succeed Justin Trudeau as Canada’s prime minister by a landslide – amassing 86% of the ballots in the first round of voting.

The full results from the March 9 vote are as follows:
Mark Carney: 85.9%
Chrystia Freeland: 8.0%
Karina Gould: 3.2%
Frank Baylis: 3%
