First Lady Melania Trump will host Russian and Ukrainian representatives at the White House on Thursday following her involvement in securing a temporary ceasefire in the Ukrainian city of Oleshky, according to CNN.

The truce, which began on October 27 and ended on Sunday, enabled the evacuation of nearly 800 civilians from the Russian-occupied area. The operation focused on helping vulnerable residents facing severe shortages of food, medicine, electricity and clean water.
