If no further settlements are reached, opening statements are scheduled for November 4, 2026. Snap has disputed the allegations, arguing that they misrepresent users’ experiences and how Snapchat was designed.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Instagram chief Adam Mosseri and Snap CEO Evan Spiegel are expected to testify in mid-November.

The proceedings follow a year of major settlements and penalties reportedly exceeding $25 billion, intensifying scrutiny of social media companies’ responsibility for young users.
