The men were charged with attempting to transfer firearms and ammunition for use in a federal crime of terrorism. The Halloween morning raid stunned residents of the tight-knit Arab American community, many of whom question the allegations.
Attorneys for the suspects told CNN the case is overblown and that no evidence of a planned attack has been shown.

FBI Director Kash Patel praised agents for “thwarting a potential terrorist attack,” though no details or additional charges have been released.
Local leaders and Muslim advocacy groups criticized the FBI’s lack of transparency, warning it fuels Islamophobia.
Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and others urged calm and fairness, emphasizing that the community should not face collective blame without evidence.
