Ukraine carried out a large overnight drone strike against Moscow on Dec. 9–10, according to Russian officials. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said air defenses intercepted at least 31 drones headed for the capital, adding that no casualties or major damage had been reported.
Russian Telegram channels described explosions in the city’s suburbs as emergency crews cleared debris from multiple sites.

The attack forced temporary flight restrictions at Moscow’s four major airports — Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky — Russia’s aviation agency said.
Far from the capital, a drone also reportedly targeted the Acron chemical and fertilizer plant in Veliky Novgorod, over 550 kilometers northwest of Moscow.

Ukraine has increasingly used long-range drones to strike military and industrial facilities inside Russia, including refineries, weapons plants, and ammunition sites.
Kyiv has not publicly commented on the latest attack but has stepped up similar operations since October.
