Video shared by Zelensky showed bodies in civilian clothing near a destroyed postal service van and a playground. Local authorities said rescue teams are still working at the site.

Ukraine’s foreign minister urged stronger international sanctions against Moscow, calling the bombing “pure terrorism.” Yarova, once occupied by Russian forces, was retaken by Ukraine in 2022. The Donetsk strike was part of a wider 24-hour assault that left at least 31 people dead across Ukraine.
The death toll from the Russian airstrike on Yarova in Donetsk Oblast has risen to 23, with 18 injured, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported.
